In with the new

I am in a really nice office building...there is plenty of room, elevators are quick and the building staff are very friendly.

Over the last few weeks, a plant expert that our building outsources, would come into my office and water my very sad plant...maintaining it to make sure it stays alive in my office - I have no windows and no natural light coming into my room. He was very friendly and very courteous. He would knock before he entered, would not interrupt if a meeting was occuring and keep to small talk, unless you decided you wanted to pursue a conversation with him...at which he is very insightful on a variety of topics...I mean he would be, he visits over a a dozen buildings a day.

But today, a new guy came. I noticed it right away. Although very knowledgeable on plants - he lacked the personality skills of the fellow prior. I am being harsh, I know. I didn't even spend more than 30 seconds with the new guy...but I can't help to think, I barely knew the old and I wish I had...so quickly it was "in with the new."
