Some people thrive in an open office. A place where they can stand up from their seat and immediately talk to 3-4 people. Cubicles, desks side-by-side. Many people like to hear their peers' conversations, learn through example.
I am NOT one of those people. I like my own office, but the door is always open for communication. Why? Maybe because I write a lot...and the recruitment team is very loud as well...
In JOS' recent posting, he describes the ups and downs of open offices. I couldn't agree more.
