Experiment: Happy Sleep

Read this article by the Globe on Happiness. If you are too lazy, because it is Friday, here is a quick quote:
"Every night, she was to think of three good things that happened that day and analyze why they had occurred. That was supposed to increase her overall happiness."

I am going to try this...I am actually a pretty happy person. The result of years of yoga and meditation I am sure...but also because I simply just am happy. However, I am interested to see if this will affect my sleeping patterns. Although I sleep fairly well, I don't think it is well enough...

I will keep you all posted. If you are going to try this experiment, let me know your results. I would be really interested to see how others make out.

I do meditation and more specifically (try) to follow the Hours

The Compline hr is the best with the last 7 words , which is "into thy hands I commend my spirit" !!

Having humble thoughts, knowing that you gave your fullest, doing well that day, makes one sleep easier.

From a scentific viewpoint, all one is doing is to tune down the chrun of the alpha waves within the brain. This moves the mind into a calm state, which generally gives one better sleep :)-

makes sense Peter. I guess that is why we should meditate in the morning and at night.
