My new tiff with Starbucks

I am not a Starbucks fan - everyone around me will tell you that.

Last night though, I had to meet Mark somewhere and didn't feel like roaming around the in-your-face Christmas/Holiday advertising that has already begun at the Eaton Centre. The only place I could think of was the 'bucks around the corner from Massey.

I ordered a large/grande, whatever the fancy name for big is...cup of green tea. And they gave me two cups.

Although their cups are made of recycled material - why the two cups? It is all part of the "Starbucks Effect."

I had a big tiff with Starbucks today too! I was at Indigo (Yorkdale) and ordered my usual: a tall decaf. Unfortunately, it was anything but usual. I picked up a I didn't realize I had a defective lid until it was too late. Boiling hot coffee spilled all over my hand, wrist and Coach bag. Fortunately, it didn't spill all over my 8-yr-old son and the splash of milk I added cooled it down enough so I wasn't seriously burned.

It was also the first time I had bad service at a Starbucks. My incident claim is now in the hands of the head office in Seattle. (I want them to replace my bag.)

Apparently, there's something strange about our laws and their responsibilities because in Canada, customers put lids on their drinks themselves. Huh? Aren't they responsible for providing proper fitting lids for their cups?

Cheers,
Eden

Think dry cleaning will work? I'm worried about the leather trim. At the gym this morning, another woman told me she had problems several times with lids and cups not fitting properly.

Yup, I think dry cleaning should be good. Go to a place that specializes in leather/suade as well...

I would take some pics BTW and send them to seattle.

Will do. Someone took a picture of my hand on his cellphone and is sending it to me tomorrow. Thx.
